Continuation…

Hello world,

so I haven’t been posting anything for almost a year now and I can not even tell why.

However, I took my time to collect a few photographs to put in that small article and maybe this blog will be coming to life again.

So, where should I start? This year for the first time, I went skiing. And it’s breathtakingly amazing. I love it! Anyway, I did not take my camera to the skiing itself though, I didn’t want to risk that, ever since I was very likely to take a fall here and there (I somehow did not care much about ending up on the ground or in the forest now and then) my camera might have broken or something.  At least I found a picture of the road trip:001What’s next? Yeah, right, I do these things I call selfie sessions, you know, when a person sometimes has literally no idea what to do with her time, this is what eventually happens. Mostly I do usual social media selfies, like the one below: 004bBut sometimes, these sessions get really out of control, and I just take my camera and my bike and the next thing I know is I am running through the trees or a field or whatsoever. This is what came out last time:

Then there was my schools choir camp in June I think. Or May? Or April? I don’t remember, doesn’t matter anyway, but the weather was beautifully sunny, still a little cold though, but we spent our free time on the beach nearby. It was great!

I have got to admit, I have spent some time doing nothing. Sometimes when I think about what happened in the past half year, I discover I really didn’t do anything exciting, and that really gets me down. It shouldn’t. My home is a nice place, so why am I so obsessed with getting away?!

Speaking of obsessions, I am currently crushing on…light! I love chains of lights so much. So my sister was getting married last May, and the cute little place appeared to have these amazing chains every where!

I also put some in my own room, too:

All right, that’s already it. I really NEED to do some exciting stuff in my summer holidays, they just came so quickly I had no time arranging much. Now I sit at home all day wondering if I will ever get myself to do something.

I hope this blog does not die out again!

Roman England

Hi hello,

I FINALLY get to write about our summer vacation. We went to Bath (by car), and we stayed in two different hotels on the way and in Bath (well, Batheaston), we stayed in a lovely cottage. It was the first vacation with family members missing (my two now adult sisters).  Well, I love long trips, I love reading in the car, listening to music, falling asleep and just relaxing the whole time. 169 167And it’s sometimes even beautiful to drive around. Every time I’ve been to England (like four times now) it has been sunny most of the time. Rainy England? I don’t know it. England’s weather presents itself rather goodly when I visit.
Uhm, now, how should I continue? There is a lot about that week I won’t publish – it would be simply too much! I tried to choose the best photographs … Well, our cottage. I loved it, especially the big window in the living room. And I loved the breakfasts. I really did. Somehow, when I think of that vacation, I smell coffee and bread with jam. Or the brilliant black tea. My goodness. They HAVE to export that to Germany. 323684Well, you may know or not, that in the Romans were having their Roman Baths in Bath( Haha, this sounds so stupid), because there are England’s only hot springs. Of course we visited it – it’s the reason Bath is so popular and the reason for all the tourists – but we didn’t visit it in the afternoon (we would have had to wait hours) but in the evening. Only few visitors were there and the lights went on and it was amazing. My dad and I even joked around with the sign…415 405 377 344Don’t mind the bad quality, like I said it was getting late and less light means less quality. We walked around after that visit and passed by the cathedral. In reality, one was not able to see the colors of the lights. But as I took a photo, I was surprised. 421On one morning (the night had been terrible, I hardly slept because of no reason I couldn’t fall asleep) I sneaked out and walked up the hill (5am) and I took pictures as the sun came up. Unfortunately the trees were in the way, but the clouds went pink anyway.554And one day we went to Castle Combe. That is such a cute village, so old and charming and everything, with a little church, a place to shop cake, a café… Lovely.482472497Last but not least: The cathedral. When we entered, there was this creepy organ music, if it’s worth to be called music at all. Must have been some so called ‘modern’ stuff’, but honestly, to me it sounded like a mad person rolling the head over the keys. But as it stopped, we began to enjoy our visit.608I’m glad I finally found some time to publish this!

Much love,

Life is colorful

Hey there,

I thought I’d better start writing my articles because I have sooo many pictures to share! And a lot has been going on. I love summer.  But first I need to show you this:005bThis is a picture of the most perfect Rhythmic-Gymnastic-bun I’ve ever made by myself. It’s really difficult for me because my hair is long and smooth (most of the time) and buns don’t really … exist as long as I want them to. When I have one and go visit some place, I feel like I have to recreate it every five minutes so I’ll end up turning it into a pony tail. But this time it worked! However, it turned out useless as we got disqualified at the tournament because of a long story I won’t tell you about. ;)
033I hope my sister wont mind me posting this one, but I love it too much! It is off focus, I know, but anyway, it’s beautiful. My sister graduated and I was proud to visit the so called ‘ABI-Ball’. 132

Now, I don’t know what you think, but in my opinion everyone should eat lots of berries during summer! I love berries. But then we found this…112b 122bA … slug? I’m not sure, I just looked up the word but unfortunately for me there are a lot of words for the German word “Schnecke” and most of them have nothing to do with the little one I caught on camera here… We thought it was funny or even cute to find this thing in our blueberry, but then there was a second one. That was the moment we all asked ourselves how many of these we ate already… nothing for vegetarians though.

214bI simply adore the summer sun! Isn’t it breathtaking? 178bWhat would a summer be without a ladies-night!? We had a lot of catching up to do as every one traveled for weeks. It’s amazing to have such friends!253b 238bIn my hometown Rostock is the so called ‘Hanse-Sail’. It’s an every-year-event were a lot of ships come by from lots of different countries and then there are carousels and everything for the visitors. :) It’s a huge event every year and fun to visit. I even sailed with one of the big ships once, I was invited. It sure is beautiful to watch the sun go down over the water and then the ship’s lights turn on … 150bBack to berries! I love to take pictures of my smoothies and milkshakes, or even coffees. 240cAnd here we go, I took a selfie with my beautiful bike ‘Florita’. She insisted. ;)

You’ll here from me, and happy summer everyone!

Love,

Flora ♥
