Jingle Waves all the way

Here I’m again to annoy you! Haha.

You may know or not, I don’t care, that I’m living at the Baltic Sea. I use to say: “Living, where other people go on vacation!” (Is that grammatically correct? Because it sounds so wrong. Please comment if it is! Thanks.) So we had a few guests on the 25th (okay, two) and ate together and blah blah nobody cares and then my mum offered to wash the dishes so we could drive to the beach. Yes or yes? Right. So we got in the tiny car (I felt like a fish in a glass) and took off. I don’t want to make anybody jealous here, but I’ve got to share these pictures. 148That’s where I live. Almost. I want to let the pictures talk. And I’ll through in lyrics of a song that is flying in my head. 150

I’m a phoenix in the water,

a fish that’s learned to fly.

And I’ve always been a daughter.

But feathers are meant for the sky.

147

So I’m wishing, wishing further,

For the excitement to arrive,

It’s just I’d rather be causing the chaos

Than laying at the sharp end of this knife.183

With every small disaster

I’ll let the waters still,

Take me away to some place real…

032They say home is where your heart is set in stone

is where you go when you’re alone

is where you go to rest your bones. 195

It’s not just where you lay your head

not just where you make your bed.

As long as we’re together, does it matter where we go?

Home… Home…

Gabrielle Aplin – Home

058We took some amazing jump pictures. The first one is my sister, the second my sister&me. I don’t know what I’d be without my camera. 075138 Well, now you know the adorable landscape around my hometown. This year’s Christmas was really really good, I thought it would be stressful and everything because I have to do something big for school, but everything worked out so well and I’m on cloud… uhm, which number does it have in English language again? I forgot. But you know what I mean. The special cloud. Oh my. I better stop writing before I do something that I’ll regret. (That itself sounds regrettable.)

Wish you all the best!

Love,

Flora ♥

So that was Christmas

Hi hello and good afternoon!

My plan was to write one article. But then I noticed that I had to many pictures, so I decided to split it up. But basically this and the following article are one.  This one here is about the 24th (in Germany we start celebrating on the 24th, evening) and the next one about the 25th.  Aaanyway. First I want to drop the picture of our tree, like I promised. Well, we never decorate it like “so-many-red-and-golden-stuff-that-no-green-is-left”, we keep it quit simple but I like it that way. 030And then we have – of course – our Advent wreath. I must confess that it was hard to photograph it. But then I finally got a clear shot. Except from the fact that our candles are red and not pink, I think it’s a pretty good one. Oh, and I’ll add our lovely big shining Christmas Star from our  living room.139031When I went throw the Christmas Pictures that I took from last year I learned that I have to take waaayyy more pictures. So I annoyed my family the whole time and took like hundred pictures during two hours. That’s why I took a picture of that candle. I already ate a lot(!) of cookies and so on but as well-behaved as I am (Haha, good joke) I stayed at the table. But I was bored and then … click!077After playing some music for my grandparents I got my present. I chose it myself, so it was no surprise, but my old bag was like … fit for the dumpster and I was so looking forward to get my new one. Uhm, please ignore that dirty mirror. Seriously. I’m a bit embarrassed! 186My sister managed to make my hair curly that night. I didn’t expect these curls to last that long, but when I woke up the next day, I still had them. 257So that’s already it about the 24th of December. If you think this one was good, hold your breath and wait for the one about the 25th! Be prepared. Haha.

Love and a late merry Christmas,

Flora ♥

Excuse you, Winter

Hi everyone!

You know, in Germany there is snow in winter … usually. It’s December and we haven’t had any serious snow yet, it is still “warm” (around 8 degree) and everything is green except from the trees. I mean that’s just crazy. Well okay, I can’t say that for Germany in general. I live at the Baltic Sea so that’s why it’s colder up here in summer and warmer in winter. Anyway. I was outside today, I repeat: TODAY and look at these flower pictures! Seriously? That’s not how it’s supposed to be. Now, how it looks this year:002 003 006 016 018And now compare it to the landscape last year, same time:003 (2) 794This is so weird. It feels like October. The only thing that reminds me that it isn’t is all the Christmas stuff in our house, the neighbor’s gardens and our ‘Christmas Market’ in Rostock. It’s North Germany’s biggest so I’m kind of proud, even though  it’s getting on my nerves when I’m in the city just to buy clothes or anything and *BOOM* too many people to move.  Anyway, I sneaked through the house today to take pictures of our very best Christmas decoration. 024026 027 028So lovely! And then there is some more stuff, not Christmas related but I never noticed it before, so why not showing it? It’s on top of a CD-shelf. Haha. Cat in a bird house. .

034 035And then I’d like to introduce two kinds of stars to you. The first one is a flower, I have no idea if the English translation also describes it as a ‘star’, but the German name is ‘Weihnachtsstern’ what means ‘Christmas Star’. The second is the following: I have a SHINING STAR in my room. I love everything shiny, If I could I would put up small lights all over my room. Yep yep. 023048So today is something special, I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say (or write) that in public, you know, privacy issues blah blah but however, these adorable flowers are on our kitchen table and I had to photograph them. Too beautiful.043I don’t know what you guys are doing, but I’ve got no more school this year so I probably will get some rest. Yeeehaa. Maybe I’ll do a “Christmas post” with our tree and whatever. Just sit back, relax, have a beautiful Christmas everyone and enjoy your free days (in case you have those!)

Love,

Flora ♥
